OFSTED AND TRUST PILOT REVIEWS 2024
All of Barracudas holiday camps are Ofsted registered. Being registered with Ofsted means that you as parents not only have the ability to pay for childcare using Tax-Free childcare and Childcare Vouchers but even more importantly you can rest assured that your children are in safe hands.
All our summer camps are regularly reviewed and rated and in the past Barracudas Activity Day Camps have received the “Outstanding” rating from Ofsted multiple times, more frequently than our comparable competitors. Our camps are regularly inspected each season. We received some wonderful feedback this Easter that we would love to share with you.

TONBRIDGE HOLIDAY CAMP
"The highly qualified and experienced management team has very high expectations of what children are able to achieve. Children's well-being is significantly enhanced. Staff follow extremely well-thought-out procedures, and their practice is excellent."
RIPLEY HOLIDAY CAMP
“Children arrive at the camp with their parents and receive a warm welcome from staff. Children are eager to begin their day and find out about the plans for the activities. Staff adapt the plan for the next day depending on activities, children's likes and interests. Children also like having the choice of activities during each one-hour slot. This enables them to have a voice and make decisions, which staff are respectful of.”
HIGH WYCOMBE HOLIDAY CAMP
“Children are happy and confident in the club. They arrive eager to play and benefit from the warm welcome from staff, which helps them to feel safe and secure. Staff demonstrate they know the children well. They are attentive to them, and they provide a well-organised environment to enhance and challenge learning and skills.”
OFSTED RATINGS EXPLAINED
As of the 1st September 2019, Out of School settings (including activity camps) were no longer rated Outstanding, Good, Adequate or Requires Improvement. We are now simply rated ‘Met’ or ‘Not Met’.
Providers are still required to ensure the welfare and safety of children is considered at a basic level, so that staff background checks, first aid, risk assessments and welfare policies are in place.

"Harlow staff are absolutely incredible. Full of fun and energy from 8:30 drop off until we collect our daughter at 5:30. Staff are so enthusiastic and seem genuinely excited to see your child on arrival, with a few faces remembering our daughter from the previous year- it always makes them feel special and so wanted. The variety of activities are brilliant, indoor and outdoor options with a diverse range of things which challenge the children and not the ‘usual’ bog standard crafts, they really seem to think outside the box when planning the day ahead.
I feel reassured that my daughter will have a fulfilling day while myself and husband have to go to work, knowing she is safe, cared for and gaining excellent new skills. Also, a thanks to the staff member who helped me to the car with my many bags of wellies, crafts and coats on pick up while juggling my toddler and daughter!"

“Our daughter always loves it at barracudas, in fact this year she was sad she couldn’t come back for the 2nd week of Easter. She’s begged us to come in the summer!! In her words “I love barracudas because it’s fun and they do lots of nice activities, I’m with other children and everyone is kind!” See you in the summer!!”

"Cannot recommend them highly enough. A well-established company, my siblings went many years ago, so now I am older with my own daughter who is 5, I decided to give it a go.
So glad I did. My very anxious 5 year old has the best time, every time. This is her third season, came home tired, happy and excited to tell me all the wonderful things she had done. Swimming, arts and crafts, dance and so so much more. She cannot wait to see what the rest of the week brings!

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
Now that the Ofsted process has changed slightly, it means it’s a little harder to distinguish between a basic provider and an outstanding one. However, we promise that we will continue to strive for outstanding care for you and your child.
We are extremely happy that Barracudas to date has received such positive Ofsted reports and so many fantastic reviews from parents.
We’ll continue with the same staff training, the same child-centred and nurturing environment and go above and beyond what is required to ensure all children have such an amazing experience at our holiday camps they can’t wait to come back.
