We're all about the fun at Barracudas. Kids are entertained and energised with our unrivalled activities every day.
Our Theme Days, held on the last day of each week, are so popular, that this year we're introducing activities with a Themed twist throughout the week! Kids are invited to ramp it up on the last day of the camp week by coming in clothes that match the theme.
Here's what children could be doing at camp in 2022:
Friday's Theme Day is PJ's day. This week children can take part in dreamy activities such as drama dreams, cosy den building, creating dream catchers and relaxing yoga. They could even create a bug hotel on the nature trail, enjoy some story telling or design their ideal pyjamas! On Friday, we invite them to come camp in snug as bug. Whether they prefer onesies, shorts and T-shirts or full on PJ’s they can bring the night time vibe to camp. Even with our sleepy themes, it's always high energy at camp!
What do they want to be when they grow up? This week's theme is Future Self. We've got fun activities in store that could ignite some future careers. From our superstar talent show, science experiments, mini-olympics, art attack and the apprentice. Friday's their chance to step into the future by coming to camp as a footballer, artist, musician, inventor, scientist... or Camp Manager maybe!
Shoot for the stars and bring the alien invasion to camp. With our 'Is their life on Mars?' theme, the fun at camp will be out of this world! Maybe they'll make a rocket in Big Box Challenge, or play our Star Wars Powerball. They could create their own solar system mobile, try our outer space escape room challenge, make space goo, or fight the aliens in foam fencing! Come as an alien, UFO or their favourite planet on Friday. Go wild or keep it simple by sticking an image of Jupiter on a plain T-shirt, really there are no rules!
It's all about the music at camp this week. Kids will love to express themselves in drama sessions, create their unique group song or even a cheerleading chant for our mini-olympics. We're looking forward to them rocking their look on Friday! Take on Taylor Swift, dare to be Drake or even show us their Sheeran. From pop to rap or folk or go back in time to blues or Motown.
We're peeling back the years at camp this week. Maybe they'll try some 70's tie dying, be part of Robin Hood's gang in archery, go Hollywood filmstar in drama or even 'all for one' in fencing! Get retro and come to camp in clothes representing their favourite decade on Friday. From 60’s flower power, 70’s disco, 80’s new wave, 90’s Brit Pop through to noughties indie they’ll have the chance to express themselves at camp.
We love to see kids be inspired by books. This week they could enjoy a Quidditch match, create Peter Pan's ship in Big Box Challenge, create a magical potion or be a Maze Runner and escape the Grievers in Dodgeball. At the end of the week we're looking forward to seeing their interpretations of their favourite fictional characters; from Hermione Granger to Alex Rider, or even Toothless!
We're proud to be celebrating our 30th birthday this year. This week we're bringing the celebrations to camp with Billy's Birthday Bash and fun '30/30' challenges. Style it up on Friday; come dressed in your favourite Barracudas team colour – red, blue or yellow! Party hats and outfits also welcome. Celebrating 3 decades of delighting kids at camp!
Here at Barracudas every day is a sports day for us. There'll be a sporting spectacular at camp this week with mini olympics, creating your teams song, making medals out of clay and even team colour face paints! End the week with a bang; join in the fun with the ultimate Sports Day attire, pick your favourite sportsman or sportswoman and spend a day in their trainers.
We're celebrating nature at camp this week with woodland activities, clay creatures and team building with orienteering challenges. Not only that, but kids will enjoy riding our earth kind electric go karts. Represent the natural world at camp on Friday. The options are endless, from wearing colours in nature to coming as their favourite animal, the more diverse the better! Kids can go wild with their imaginations and bring a green vibe to camp.
Mwahaha! We're looking forward to a spooktacular week this October. Whether they're making slime, learning our monster dance or playing pumpkin ball, they'll have a ball at camp this week. We're looking forward to ending the week in style and welcome hairy werewolves, zoned out zombies, ghosts, ghouls, monsters, witches and wizards to camp on Friday.
Of course, we always offer an unrivalled range of activities at camp. These activities are available as part of our usual variety of options, to deliver the experience you expect. There's always a choice at Barracudas and children are in control of what they choose to take part in. Our themes are just an additional layer of their unique experience at camp.
