With the Christmas holidays upon us and many of us spending more time at home this year, we’ve prepared our top 10 tips for a fun Christmas with the kids to help you make the most of your time together.
Create a Christmas playlist
First, to get everyone in the festive mood why not put together a Christmas playlist with everyone’s favourites. Rockin’ around the Christmas tree!
Make home-made Christmas decorations
Make the house festive and add a personal touch with home-made Christmas decorations, there are plenty of easy ideas online to choose from like paper plate Santa’s and pine cone Christmas trees.
Bake Christmas treats
Bake some Christmas cookies, mince pies or try our favourite, the Nutella Christmas Star! Checkout our Kid Friendly Christmas Recipes for some delicious and easy ideas. Yum!
Wrap Christmas presents
Get kids involved helping to wrap the presents then putting them under the tree. If they find the wrapping tricky, they can help with the finishing touches like the labels and ribbons.
Create a family quiz
Kids can have fun creating a family quiz for everyone to join in with on Christmas day. Our Fun Christmas Facts video is a good starting point for some festive questions.
Take a walk

Prepare the Christmas feast
Kids can help by getting involved with the preparation of the Christmas dinner, while you enjoy a glass of fizz? Wrapping pigs in blankets, washing vegetables, setting the table – they’ll enjoy the responsibility and being part of creating a fantastic feast.

Anyone else’s kids obsessed with this game at the moment?? Shake things up by creating an indoor family version of this game. Pick from a hat who the imposter will be and try to catch the other crew mates! Be sure to set up some tasks for the crew to undertake along the way!
Board games competition
Take some time as a family to play some good old fashioned board games. Monopoly, Frustration or Hungry Hippos anyone? Make an afternoon of it and see who is the overall champion.
Watch a movie
Take some chill time and all enjoy a film together – there’s lots of good TV to choose from.
