The pace hasn’t slowed at Barracudas summer camps. It’s been another incredible 2 weeks with much fun and laughter. Children have got stuck in to our unrivalled activities and made the most of the opportunities to try new things at camp.
Here’s just a snapshot of some of highlights from the last 2 weeks:
Bishops Stortford
We had an amazing visit from Billy at registration which the children loved! He’s always a popular chap and brings extra fun and excitement to camp. The Minnows created some incredible futuristic robot animals, we loved to their imaginations come to life! The Stingrays and Barracudas enjoyed Tri-golf with the Stingrays making their own mini-golf course.
Huntingdon
It’s been a fun packed couple of weeks at Huntingdon camp! Kids have had the best time ever taking part in our wide range of activities, from water fun to specialist activities - and a special pre-historic visitor!
A special mention goes out to Eoin who is 12 and has been coming since he was a Minnow. He offered to help out as an activity leader in the Minnow group. He was amazing! He has helped the Minnows and staff with all the activities of the day and created a fabulous chalk playground for them to enjoy during their explore 'n' play session and helped them go through the course. We are so proud of the leadership role he has undertaken and we’ve loved him seeing him grow at camp.
Sevenoaks
Sevenoaks continues to be a fun and varied summer camp which the children have loved! They’ve been getting up to all sorts in the last couple of weeks from building robots, to science experiments and, of course, getting active! Here’s just some of the moments we’ve enjoyed at Sevenoaks camp in the last couple of weeks.
Twickenham Waldegrave
The atmosphere has been amazing at our Twickenham Waldegrave camp. With enthusiastic, supportive and inspiring staff, we’ve brought the energy to camp in the last couple of weeks! From raising money for our worthy charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital, with pie face, to exploring science by making rockets, kids and staff have had a blast!
Camp competition winners
A massive well done to Brighton, who won our ‘Big Box Challenge!’ last week, it looks amazing! Huntingdon and Sevenoaks were our runners up for with rocket ships which were out of this world!
Congratulations to Watford who won the ‘Sing your heart out!’ challenge. Great song guys, we loved hearing this ringing out around Watford camp! Huntingdon and Cobham were our runners up this week. All our camps brought talent and energy to this tuneful challenge.
Photo of the day/week
We love seeing what all the children are up to at camp. Each week we choose our favourite picture from camp summing up the summer of FUN. Last week Wokingham camp won the top spot for photo of the week with this corker!
As our final camps prepare to close for the summer, we’d like to thank all the children and staff for making it one to remember! We’ve had the best summer ever and have loved seeing children grow with us over the holiday. Children have built up self confidence, explored new activities and made friends for life this summer.
We’ll miss you all, but wish you the very best for your next year at school. We hope we can welcome you all back again soon!
