They say that time flies when you’re having fun. This couldn’t be more true for our summer camps.
Last week we passed the half way mark and we’re now reaching towards the end, with some camps closing this week and the remaining camps closing next week.
Don’t worry though, there’s still a whole host of exciting things we’ve got planned to give children a summer holiday to remember.
Another week full of fun at Bedford camp. Here are a few of their favourite moments, from Rocketeers and clay making to Pop Lacrosse.
We’re delighted to have launched a brand new offering in Ely!
They enjoyed lots of fantastic standout moments including outdoor yoga, face paint and circus skills making balloon animals last week.
Our brand new camp is enjoying more fun than you can shake a stick at!
We rewarded our hard working camp staff with a mid-season treat! The teams enjoyed their lunch and got a much deserved boost to energise them for the second half of summer camps keeping children entertained and active and delivering amazing experiences. Here are some of our teams from Canterbury, Croydon, Streatham and Ware enjoying their rewards:
We had lots of fun during the week with our ‘Under the Sea’ weekly theme. This theme couldn’t be more fitting for Barracudas! Children enjoyed working on water themed art projects and tweaked activities. Not to forget that we have lots of water fun on camp with swimming sessions at camps with a pool, or outdoor water park and aqua slide sessions when weather allowed! We ended the week with our Friday Finale event, going out on a high!
Our camps love to share what they’re getting up to at camp. Whilst our camps are parent free, we know you like to get an insight into their day with us.
Last week Letchworth, Maidstone, Huntingdon, Norwich and Bishop’s Stortford camps entertained us with their TikToks.
See what we’ve up to on our TikTok account.
Our summer camps love to show us a day in the life at Barracudas. Last week Letchworth, Farnham, Bedford, Hutton and Twickenham St Catherines showed us what they got up to.
Take a look at all the fun we’ve had so far this summer on our Instagram account.
We pick our favourite photos camps share with us each day. Last week Salisbury wowed us on Monday with their archery session, on Tuesday Huntingdon delighted with a Woodlands walk, the swimming session on Wednesday at Newbury looked splashingly good, with more water fun at Upminster with the aqua slide on Thursday and ending the week in style at Twickenham Waldegrave with their fun Friday
As well as our favourite photos, we also select our stand out sessions each day. Of course, all our activities are designed to be fun, engaging and delivered with excellence. We loved how engaged children were in the Discovery Squad session at Bishop’s Stortford on Monday. Children loved getting creative at Welwyn camp on Tuesday with our brand new Make a Fort activity. Romford scored on Thursday with their fun football session and Hayes were in it to win it, winning on Thursday with archery and Friday with the water park.

We’re lucky to have a great team of seasonal staff at our summer camps. Each week we like to reward a particular member for their outstanding contributions to camp.
This week, this went to Rebecca at our Sevenoaks camp. Here’s what the Camp Manager said about her:
"Rebecca is an amazing staff member at Sevenoaks and an overall asset to Barracudas. She is extremely patient and comes up with some great ideas to ensure her child's needs are met and they have an amazing day. Staff around camp have recognised how brilliant Rebecca is and speak highly of her to our blue team. In addition, Rebecca has taken on Dance Fusion after her child has gone home. Rebecca deals with challenging moments brilliantly and it is a pleasure to have her at Sevenoaks."
Well done, Rebecca!
We were so pleased to receive lots of positive independent reviews from happy parents again last week. Here’s just some of the comments they made about Barracudas:
“Great experience. My children went to the Bishops Stortford camp for 2 weeks this summer and had the best time. Like most mums I get very nervous leaving my little ones when I go to work because my youngest gets very anxious, but I told the camp manager and she kept a special eye on her for me. It was lovely to see them making friends and they were excited every morning to go, the eldest loved doing the archery! Highly recommend” Alice
“Thank you, Barracudas Hemel!! How to put the Barracudas Activity Day Camps Hemel Hempstead experience into words?! Magical, empowering, fun, just to name a few. My son is returning to this camp for his second year. He loves the choice he gets every day, the special Friday events and the games available. As an active kid who likes to run and play, this is perfect place for him. I would like to thank Barracudas Hemel staff for giving Rares again an unforgettable summer experience. Keep up the good work!” Gabriela
“Positive experience from day one. Since his first day at Barracudas in Andover, our 5 year old son has come back full of stories about what he has been doing and enthusiastic about going back the next day. Patrick and Emily have clearly made good impressions and he was excited to have managed to get Patrick out playing Dodgeball. Having the chance to try new games and sports has been brilliant, as has the wide variety of arts and crafts. The pool is also an enormous bonus. Thanks for giving us a wonderful couple of weeks and I've no doubt we will be back next year, probably with a little brother in tow!” Jenny
"First week at Barracudas last week & my two (9 & 7 year old) enjoyed it. Swimming each day, tennis & archery. Makes a change from the usual holiday clubs which mainly do crafting. Staff seem friendly. Looking forward to going back again this week." Paula. Newbury camp
"The only summer camp in the area that has early and late clubs, so 8am-6pm coverage available. My son loves the swim school and all the activities. He's good and tired from having fun all day. The staff at Upminster are great too (shoutout to Phoebe!). Came this year after a successful last summer and will be using it next summer too!" Christine. Upminster camp
"Great venue and staff are awesome. My 7yo absolutely loved it and wants to go again! Thank you and well done for creating such a memorable experience for her." Tope. Winchester camp
So another week of adventures experienced and memories made!
We're looking forward to the last couple of weeks at camp and hope to see you there!
