We’ve had a great start to summer camp! With 13 camps open last week, we’ve got off to a strong start, with lots of fun had already this summer.
The weather gods shined on us and we started the week basking in the sun and making the most of our fantastic outdoor facilities. Children have had a blast at camp and we’d like to share just some of our top moments.
Each week at Barracudas brings something unique for children to be a part of, so whether they’re in for a day, or throughout the summer holidays, they’ll always be enjoying something fresh and exciting at camp.
Last week’s theme Royal Rabble, had children had a royally good time!
We’ve enjoyed lots of fun sessions at Letchworth. Children burnt off lots of energy in Dodgeball and Cricket and we had lots of fun on the amazing field space at St Christopher School. Children loved cooling off and in swimming sessions and building water confidence in Swim School. Our experienced Camp Manager, Nicky, is really getting camp off to a strong start!
There’s a great atmosphere on Ware summer camp. Our energetic and enthusiastic Red Shirt team are leading the way to fun! We’ve enjoyed really creative Arts & Crafts and Dance Fusion sessions. Children have also had a splashing time, making good use of the fantastic outdoor pool.
Our Ely camp is full of fun and adventure, with our returning Camp Manager, Kirsty, confidently and expertly leading the launch of camp. There’s an upbeat vibe with our blowy man and happy tunes to get kids in the mood for a great day ahead. As this is the only area the grown-ups get to see, we’re pleased to have such a vibrant display, giving them a sense of what goes on beyond the registration desks! Children were loving all the activities and made fantastic use of the amazing Water Park. Here's just a snapshot of Ely camp last week:
Maidenhead camp enjoyed a great variety of our 80+ activities. Children have loved swimming, archery and fast-paced sports sessions with our well organised Multi Activity Instructor well in control. Our fantastic Camp Manager, Josh, is bringing lots of energy and warmth, setting the tone for a great summer ahead!
Children enjoyed our Royal Rabble weekly theme at Cambridge St Faith’s camp. They’ve had fantastic arts and crafts sessions and made the most of the good weather, cooling off on the Water Park and aqua slide. Kayla, our Early Years Manager, is doing a great job settling younger children into camp and is already building good relationships with the Early Years group.
Our experienced team at Huntingdon camp hit the ground running with well structured, fun sessions. Children really enjoyed activities in the gym and on the astro. We made great use of the indoor pool with fun swimming sessions and children loved trying something new in Motor Sports.
One our newer camps, Norwich Langley Prep is off to a flying start this summer. Our Camp Manager, Alice is leading great Blue Shirt team and children benefited from great sessions, including swimming and Motor Sports. There’s lots of enthusiasm from our Red Shirts who are inspiring and energising children in the school holidays.
As well as our 5 star rated activity camps, we also run specialist courses at selected venues throughout the summer. Last week tech savvy kids have enjoyed upskilling on our Micro Bit Coding course in Norwich and Roblox in Bedford.
We've opened a further 41 camps this week and all 54 of our summer camps are now open for school holiday fun and adventures. On top of that we have Micro Bit Coding at Cambridge, Minecraft and Baking at Welwyn and Roblox at Letchworth.
Children will love taking part in our Sports Stars weekly theme this week and we’re looking forward to lots of exciting events well timed for the start of the Paris Olympics.
We’re excited to start our photo of the day, session of the day and camp takeovers and TikToks! Keep a look out on our social media platforms for all our updates!
