We had an amazing time at our October half term camps this year.
With 10 camps open, that’s more than we’ve ever run in the shorter school holidays and we were really pleased that they were so popular.
All camps embraced our seasonal Halloween theme and we offered thrills and spills to suit every child’s interest throughout the week.
Here are our standout moments from this October
Barracudas embraced the season with a fun and light-hearted Halloween theme this half term. We set the scene with our spooktacular registration area and followed this throughout the day with some themed activities available to choose. Take a look at our example timetable to see some of the options.
From tweaking some of our popular activities to offering specific arts and crafts sessions, kids loved getting involved – and so did our staff!
Parents love to see what’s going on at camp. We handed over our Instagram account to camps this half term so you could see the fun on the ground.
On Wednesday the stories came flooding in from Wokingham camp showing children playing fun games and loving the Halloween activities - we even had a special visit from Spooky Billy!
Thursday we were delighted by insights from our Welwyn camp. We got a peek at inspiring arts and crafts sessions and a Billy Hunt that really entertained our campers.
Huntingdon went all out on our Friday Theme Day. Not only did we get to see the fun activities but also got the chance to give us your thoughts on what other activities you’d like to see at camp. On top of that you could also play our fun game on guessing whether or not the basketball went through the hoop.
We’re getting down with the kids and have recently launched our own TikTok account. Take a look out for our Billy Transformation and ‘Red Light, Green Light’ game coming up soon!
Our dance guru, Silly Tom, entertained us with a fun Halloween camp dance. Once again, he applied his specialist skills to teach us some cool moves. We loved his seasonal twist and children enjoyed putting their own spin on the routine. If you fancy having a go, just look out for our video on Facebook!
We care about your experience and invite parents to leave us their independent reviews on Trustpilot. This October we were thrilled to get some amazing comments and ratings:
Highly recommend Huntingdon Barracudas camp. Our daughter has been going to this camp for the last 4 years and loves it. There are so many activities available with no day being the same. The staff are helpful, friendly and genuinely care about each and every child. Keep up the great work 👍 Leigh
I can highly recommend Welwyn Barracudas! My son (4,5 years) has really great time there during October half term. I was a bit worried cause it's his first holiday camp but he just loves it! Many activities, outdoor and indoor staff is very caring. He's there from 8:30 to 17:30 and when I pick him up he's literally "dead"😄We will definitely be back for next half term! Agnieszka
My son cried yesterday as we left Barracudas -High Barnet. Cannot wait for the summer! He had a great time-thank you! Karen
My niece goes to the Chelmsford Barracudas and she has been absolutely overjoyed so far! It’s all she’s been able to talk about when she gets home! Additionally, the staff are super friendly and professional; her parents were originally worried to place her in a camp as such but seeing the warmth from the people at Barracudas really put their minds at ease. I tell you one thing’s for sure: I wish I went to Barracudas when I was a child now because I don’t think I’ve ever seen my niece this happy! Louise
My 14 year old loves coming every holiday. The leaders are great mentors for him and he gets more exercise than I could possibly organise for him otherwise. I can give him gaming time with a clear conscience afterwards and he sleeps like a baby every night😁 Jo
As always, we end the camp week on a fun Theme Day. This gives the chance for children let their imaginations run wild and get creative. With Halloween just round the corner it couldn’t have been easier for them to pick their favourite spooky costumes for camp.
We loved seeing all their wonderful wacky creations and it really made for a special atmosphere on our last day!
Whilst we had more October camps than ever, we weren't able to operate at all our locations. We're committed to providing activities and entertainment to all our campers, so we offered a full week of fun, free activities. From our daily videos on Facebook and YouTube to games, science experiments and arts and crafts guides, we were happy to support parents and kids with fun half term activities.
We had an amazing time at half term and were pleased to have seen so many children at our camps embracing the fun and getting active.
Whilst that’s a wrap for 2021, we’re pleased to be open for 2022 bookings now! With amazing early booking offers and low deposits, there couldn’t be a better time to sign up for the fun.
