At Barracudas, we’re always looking for new ways to improve our multi-activity day camps. And with 2020 being the start of a new decade we want to make this year even more special. Here are some of our exciting plans for our 2020 camps!
New Activities
This year we’re excited to be introducing more new activities to our timetables! We want to give ‘every child such an amazing experience they want to come back’ so in order to do this we’ve brought in even more fun and adventure to our holiday clubs!
You may have already seen that we have introduced exciting new skills builder courses onto all of our camps – these are called STEM Works and Dance Fusion. We also have some exciting new activities that we are yet to announce, keep an eye on our website for these exciting updates.
Easier booking
Have you seen our brand-new booking system? We understand parents are busy so we don’t want them to be spending hours sorting out their school holiday activities. We hope bringing our new booking system in will make the process of booking with us so much easier and less time consuming.
Creating ‘chill’ time
We appreciate that it can be a very busy day for children at Barracudas. That’s why we’ve created our new ‘chill’ time during registration, collection, lunch and snack breaks. This gives the children a chance to chill out and bond with one another, which we know is especially important to them when attending an activity camp.
Teambuilding
As well as our chill times on camp, we have also introduced a Teambuilding session onto our timetable. This will be for the first 15 minutes of session one every day and it will give the children the chance to bond with others in their group and their Group Leaders. This helps settle any nerves and ensures they all feel part of the team ready for the day ahead.
New roles
New for 2020 is our new staffing roles to give every child the opportunity to learn new skills whilst they are with us at camp. We will be introducing Sports Leaders who will be specialists in their own sports and then our Group Leaders will be your child’s key worker during their time at camp. Each Sports Leader specialises in 8-10 different activities to ensure plenty of expertise is onboard to develop skills and ensure progression in sessions.
New camp kit
Available only to Barracudas camp bookers, we've got a fantastic new design for our camp kit! Kids will love the new designs in popular colours. Whether you want a single T-Shirt or the full lot including a bag, T-Shirt, baseball cap and water bottle, you just need to add this to your booking online and we'll send it directly to you in the post.
New camps
We are opening the doors to two new camps this year. We’ll be offering our exciting activity camps at two beautiful schools in Northampton and Mill Hill. We will also be offering more fun during the half term holidays as we now have three camps opening at May half term and two opening during the October break!
