At Barracudas Activity Day Camps kids not only have fun but also get the chance to try new activities and develop new key skills.
Progression and skill development are significant benefits for children attending our camps. With a wider variety of activities and more choice for children, kids have always had more opportunities at Barracudas.
We’re upping the ante again and this year are pleased to be introducing new staff roles to our popular activity camps to make their time even more amazing. Here's the low-down on what's new this year:
Activity Leaders
The Activity Leader will work between each age group during the day delivering high quality sessions (as you’d expect!). They’ll introduce new activities to children and help them progress in each activity, developing key skills and fuelling new passions.
Sport Leaders
The Sport Leaders will lead specific sports based activities. With a minimum of 8 sports specialisms there’ll be plenty of new experiences for children. Kids will really get the chance to develop new skills with the guidance of qualified staff. We can’t wait to see them blossom with us!
Group Leaders
Whilst trying new activities and learning new skills is an important part of their camp experience, we know it’s about more than that.
Each group at camp will have a dedicated Group Leader who will oversee the general health, welfare and safety of the children throughout the day. They’re your child’s keyworker and will get to know your child individually and help support and guide them throughout their time at Barracudas.
This one to one relationship will really help your child grow at camp so they get the most out of their time and have the most amazing time creating the best memories.
Group Leaders 11+
We understand that older children have different needs and require a different approach.
Continuing from 2019, our Group Leaders 11+ will perform the same role as the general Group Leader but also lead key activities for this age group.
These key staff members will be able to relate to older children and will provide age specific support and guidance.
We understand how important staff are to your child’s camp experience. We have rigorous recruitment processes and extensive training for all of our staff. This means that we always have the best people looking after your child in our care.
Barracudas staff have always been crucial to helping children get the most out of camp, trying new activities and being part of something special. We’ve loved seeing the relationships grow between the kids and the team year after year. Special connections develop at camp and there’s nothing better than the recognition between kids and staff when they return to camp.
We’re always looking at ways we can improve and whilst we’re proud of what we’ve offered year on year, we’re excited to introduce these new roles and can’t wait to see how your child develops at camp this year!
