National Children's Day highlights the importance of a healthy childhood.
National Children's Day is on Sunday 14th May. A healthy, happy start in life paves the way for a brighter and healthier future, and we know that by giving children the best possible start in life is crucial to their future health and wellbeing.
We all know that if we can invest in our children and the youth of today, nurture them and provide them with the tools they need to thrive in the future.
At Barracudas we do this in many ways…
Freedom of play
Never underestimate the beauty and simplicity of play. Children use playtime to explore new activities, new people, new settings and learn how to process the world. With so many different activities on offer they even get to choose their favourite activity each session, giving them confidence and learning to be responsible for their choices.
Healthy eating habits
How we nurture and feed our children is so important to their development, and overall health. Healthy eating is at the core of this, and we know here at Barracudas that a healthy balanced and nutritious packed lunch will provide them with the energy they need to keep active, and keep going throughout the day, allowing them to enjoy their time with us.
Keeping them active
We all like to stay active at camp. Physical exercise and activity is crucial to a child’s development. There are plenty of ways it can enjoyed – its not just about competitive team sports (although a little healthy competition is good for them too!) There are plenty of activities we offer at camp – such as circus skills and inflatables, that will keep your children moving and challenge them physically. Our timetables are carefully considered with our ACTIVE motto in mind, to provide children with maximum opportunity for fun and development.
Developing confidence
Developing confidence in children is crucial for their personal and social development. It helps them to face challenges and approach new situations with a positive attitude. Barracudas provide opportunities for children to try new things, make new friends, and develop their skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. With the guidance of trained and experienced staff, children can learn to challenge themselves and push beyond their limits, helping them to develop resilience and a sense of accomplishment.
Helping them grow in safe environments
Making sure your children feel safe at camp is one of our top priorities. It can be daunting meeting new people, new adults and making new friends all in an unknown environment.
We’re here to provide you with a high quality kids holiday activity camp, a responsibility we take very seriously. Staff support each individual child during their first time at camp by making sure they're familiar with the venue, staff and how the programme works and what they should expect during their day.
