When you put your child in our care, you’ll want to know that we have the highest standard of staff on camp.
All our seasonal team are enhanced DBS checked and have to complete thorough training before they can work at camp. But it’s not just about the logistics, you can be reassured that your camp staff will bring enthusiasm and joy to the role. This means your child will be inspired at camp, and have the best experience.
We wanted to introduce to you just some of the staff entertaining your child in the school holidays. Joel, our Chislehurst Senior Sports Instructor, gives us an insight into working at Barracudas here.
Joel says:
I worked the 2021 season as Camp Assistant Manager and Senior Sports Instructor at the Chislehurst Camp. My profession beyond camp revolves within complex product service design teams.
The Barracudas guiding values (communication, fun, innovation, personal development, professionalism and teamwork) provide a valuable framework and practical experience to refine my skills in my role outside of camp.
I've really benefitted from the real life experience in customer relationships from working at Barracudas. It’s not just building relationships with children at camp and their parents, but also about teamwork with colleagues.
Leading a camp is about working with a team who feels seen, heard and valued to so we can deliver on our promise to parents and kids and to ensure quality and fun experience.
Joel is looking forward to continue his role at camp in 2022 and we know the children will be looking forward to him returning to camp too!
