Holiday camps are a great option to keep kids entertained in the school holidays.
At Barracudas they'll be enjoying a full day of fun from 8.30am - 5.30pm. With unrivalled activities and a choice for every session, there's no danger of them being bored at camp!
As it's a full on day, it's crucial that they are in the hands of high quality and high energy staff. So, we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to just some of our team.
Meet Early Years Manager, Natalie
What's your role at Barracudas and what do you love about it?
I am the Early Years Manager, I wanted to go into this role to utilise my skills as a teacher in a setting that is different to a school and to also gain managerial experience which will give me an insight on being in a senior leadership team, this will eventually help me progress my career further through experiences.
How many seasons have you worked at Barracudas?
I've completed 6 seasons at Barracudas. I have worked at Easter, summer and October half term camps..
What’s your favourite thing about working at Barracudas?
My favourite thing about working for Barracudas is getting to interact with children in a way that is different to how I would be able to interact with them in a school atmosphere. I also love integrating with new staff members and being a part of a team of people with such a wide variety of different life experiences.
Has Barracudas helped you in your current role?
100%! It’s given experience of being with children in a more activity based environment. Something I’ve really noticed is how it’s helped me grow in confidence with teaching PE lessons, I’ve been able to develop skills and knowledge of session structure. My role as Early Years Manager has also enabled me to develop a really deep understanding of the early year’s framework which I can now use in my teaching.
Why do you keep returning to Barracudas?
I keep returning to Barracudas mainly because of the supportive atmosphere. I feel like I have a voice here as I am listened to by head office, I really like how they ask staff for feedback and make changes for the following seasons.
