Parents told us what they thought of camp

We’ve just completed our 29th year of fun at Barracudas holiday club and are reflecting on all the good times we’ve had with the children this year.

We wouldn’t have got this far if we didn’t care deeply about what our bookers think of us and their experience of our Easter camps, summer clubs and half term holiday activities. We encourage all feedback at camp when we’re open, welcome communication with our Head Office team throughout the year, send end of camp parent surveys and have also had a Trustpilot account since 2018.

We welcome independent reviews from parents and are touched by all the positive things parents have said about us again this year. We also take any criticisms seriously and are always reviewing how we can improve in any areas, so you can be sure to get the best service.

Barracudas has an ‘Excellent’ Trustpilot rating with almost 850 reviews, which we’re really proud of. Here’s what parents have said about our camps this year:

Organisation

This is a well organised company, with safety, organisation and fun at the heart of its brand. There are always plenty of red jumpers around to ask questions and if there is an issue or question that needs escalating, a blue jumper is always quick on the scene to address it. My children have enjoyed the Barracudas experience and will surely go again. David

My two children aged 7 and 9 had a great week at Barracudas in Twickenham. The children came out happy and said they had lots to do and the staff are great fun. Also as parents, we felt the camp was well run and pick up and drop off was quick and easy. David

Twickenham - Waldergrave: Great experience with this camp. From my perspective the admin side was simple and the check in/ out worked really well. From my daughter's point of view, she really enjoyed all the activities and they really did do so many different things! Will definitely send her here again. Sarah

What a truly wonderful experience for my 4.5 year old son - it was his very first camp and the staff of St Albans were just amazing. Such fun but also great care taken looking after all the kids. Max will miss all of the camp teachers & kids!! Customer of Quickwill

Fantastic staff at Streatham: Thanks to all the staff at the Streatham & Clapham site for all their enthusiasm and patience. The kids had a great time during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of August, yet again. We’ve tried other camps but keep coming back to this one, the staff really make it. James

Best camp by far: We've sent our two (now 6 and 8) to a variety of summer camps over the years - Barracuda's is by far the best. The staff at the Canterbury camp (at Kings School, Sturry) were all fabulous, and the kids loved their 4 weeks there. They can't wait to go back! Stuart

Brilliant experience at Barracudas Chigwell: Tried Barracudas for the first time this week in Chigwell and have been so so impressed. Staff are friendly, energetic and professional, with safety and security being top priority too. The best summer camp in the area in my opinion, and my 6 year old son loved it too! J. OI

Sevenoaks - Amazing experience: My 6 year old son went to Barracudas last week for the first time. We signed him up for the week in Sevenoaks and he absolutely loved it. The activities were great but most of all, staff were absolutely amazing. We were always met with a smile, they were really encouraging and engaging when my son was a little unsure. One day our son lost his swimming bag and staff did absolutely everything they could to successfully retrieve that. My son will definitely be returning! Thank you so much for a fab experience. MV

Wokingham Camp- Barracudas This camp has honestly been the best experience for my sons. I have a 12yr old and 7yr old and they absolutely loved their time here. The staff are so friendly, good fun and you can see they love their job. I was worried how my 12yr old would take it but he has really enjoyed it. The activities are varied and children come back so knackered (wink wink… early nights for them) I would recommend this camp to any parent. Thank you guys so much! X Daniela

Huntingdon camp is amazing: My two absolutely adore going to the Huntingdon barracudas camp, it’s the highlight of their year. They love all of the activities (especially the karting and swimming) and making new friends. I’m always impressed with all of the staff running it, friendly and well organised, and make good connections with the kids. Couldn’t recommend it more! Jonathan

The best holiday camp ever! The best money we have ever spent! My daughter has had the best 3 weeks at Copthorne Barracudas. The staff are friendly, helpful and excellent with the children. The activities are varied and far more exciting than other holiday camps we have looked at. I could not recommend this highly enough. We will be back next holidays! Lucy

Fun times guaranteed: My son went and had SUCH a fun time. It has a real upbeat fun party vibe, mainly thanks to the youngsters that run it. Every day I dropped him off a little jealous I didn't get to have a go myself. Highly recommend! Somau

I thoroughly recommend this company. Both my 7yr old boy and 4 yr old girl spent four weeks of the summer holidays at the Hemel branch. Each morning they bounced out of bed eager to take part in that day’s activities. On pick up the smiles on their faces were a sight to behold. Each staff member I encountered was friendly, professional and very helpful. Sarah

My daughter had an amazing time over the last 5 days. She had never been to a summer camp before and was nervous but she was welcomed in and encouraged to join in all the fun activites. She was sad it was her last day today.

Amazing experience

My daughter will start reception in September so she is still quite young and I worried how she would find it but she has had a great time at barracudas 2 weeks in a row and has been excited to go each day. She has told me all about her day once collected which is more than usual and genuinely really enjoyed her time. I feel for the price it has been worth it to fill her holiday full of fun and happy memories. Thank you to all the staff for looking after the children so well and making essential childcare so much fun. Harriet

My 9yr old foster son has just attended a Barracuda Camp at Hayes Kent, he finds new experiences sometimes quite difficult, not this experience!👍👍 A definite 10/10 for everything from the wonderful staff, the great activities, fantastically organised but above all nurturing, caring, warm welcome and most important FUN. Another fantastic summer at Barracudas in Wokingham thanks to the endlessly cheerful and enthusiastic efforts of the camp staff. Housed for the first time at Reddam House this year, the range of activities has expanded and the addition of swimming created a lot of excitement. My daughter did one week with a gaggle of friends and one week without, and said she probably enjoyed the second week best as making new friends and feeling free to try whatever activities she liked was really fun. Even torrential rains and covid precautions couldnt dampen the excitement of being back at Barracudas. Worth every penny. Jo

My son, 6, attended the Farnham camp at Easter and also for 2 weeks during summer. The staff were all fantastic and I can’t praise them enough. It was a very well organised drop off and pick up, my son loved every single day and was very sad to stop going!! The variety of activities is amazing, a few times activities were limited due to COVID restrictions however my son didn’t notice at all and still thoroughly enjoyed himself! Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend!! Fun filled and Caring Camp: This was my Grandson’s first experience with Barracudas. He absolutely loved it, in particular the amount of different sports activities. Had an issue of unkindness which was quickly addressed. He’s looking forward to going back in the Spring half-term. Barbara

Amazing holiday club with great staff! My kids are not good with change, new people, new places, or new activities, so I was understandably a little nervous about sending them to a holiday club! I shouldn't have been - they loved it from day 1. All of the people working there were friendly and enthusiastic, there is a really good range of activites, and my two were very sorry once the week was over! Will definitely be sending them again next year. Melissa

Fantastic - My 7 year old loved it: Booked my 7 year old for a couple of days a week for 2 weeks to see if he liked it... He came home after first day and asked me to increase the next week to 3 days and then 4 days for the last couple of weeks... He absolutely loved it...very well organised with something for all age groups allowed. All members of staff very friendly and helpful and their appreciation of children shone through. Even when it rained they were well organised for indoor activities. He's already on my case about the next camp!! Tony

Barracudas @ Hutton 5*: Fantastic experience for all! My son cannot be more happy and for that I am so grateful! Every time we go to pick him up he has always a huge grin on his face and that is worth everything to me as a parent. From the friendly staff to the well organized setting I couldn't be more happy about choosing Barracudas@Hutton. Every day there are chances of making new friends and also several activities to choose from that not only agree with my son's diverse tastes but also gives him the opportunity to develop new skills like fencing, motor sports, archery, swimming, drama, dodgeball... Brilliant place to send one’s child to! Barracudas Bishops Stortford has been a fantastic place for my daughter to develop her social, interactive skills and definitely a confidence boosting experience for her over the summer. Harry, Kirsty and all the staff at Bishops Stortford are amazing and so helpful. My daughter absolutely loves going there! She can’t wait to be back again. Ashita
