Another fun week at summer camp!
The good times keep rolling at Barracudas this summer.
Kids enjoyed another week of fun at camp. Whilst we can't list all the special moments, here's a snapshot of what went on from 8th to 12th August.
30 years of fun weekly theme!
Each week we have a different theme at our holiday camps. Activity sessions are tweaked for the theme throughout the week, and we have a big celebration to round the week off on our Theme Day on Friday.
We were excited to celebrate turning 30 years this year in our weekly theme last week. Camps were buzzing and we loved hearing about all the standout moments.
We love this picture from Barnet, summing it up beautifully! They rounded off the week with a massive group photo along with our amazing staff team and artwork from the children. Amazing!

Staff member of the week
Each week we shout out to our staff shining stars. This week, staff member of the week was Jordann, Early Years Group Leader at Barnet camp. Here’s what the Camp Manager had to say about her:
"Jordann has been an absolute delight to work with this week! Not only has she proactively suggested innovative and creative sessions for her Minnows, she has approached all aspects of her day on camp with infectious positivity and an incredible can do attitude. Jordann has led by example all week and truly encapsulates everything it means to work at Barracudas. We are all so proud of her, and she deserves recognition for all of her hard work.”

Photo of the day
A picture paints a thousand words. Each day we chose our favourite photo from camp to share with you on social media. Godalming camp's explore and play won top position on Monday, Barnet's 30th celebration was our choice for Tuesday and children at Bedford stole our hearts on Wednesday in arts and crafts. We loved these Minnows chilling out in the shade on Thursday and we ended the week with Barnet's Billy's Birthday Bash!
Session of the day
It’s all about the fantastic things they get up to at camp. We also select our stand out activity session each day to share with you. We loved Canterbury's sports day on Monday and a fun arts and crafts session at Chelmsford camp was picked on Tuesday. The kids cooling off on the aqua slide at Cambridge St Faith's was just the ticket on Wednesday with archery at Canterbury picked on Thursday and a fun water session at Huntingdon on Friday topped the week off nicely!

Bishop’s Stortford highlights
Our team at Bishop’s Stortford shared their top moments from camp last week.
It was another scorcher! They had the best time cooling off with lots of fun with water games alongside using our water park.
The children also enjoyed plenty of games, teamwork sessions, arts and crafts and our end of week talent show!
They celebrated Barracudas camps turning 30 this year with lots of fun activities. Billy’s Birthday Bash was a big success on Friday. Kids loved creating lots of things for the event, from underwater creatures to a big birthday card for him too! The glow in the dark disco birthday was a huge success!
With some of our camps closing on Friday this week, it feels like it's over before it began! Thankfully, we do have a number of camps also open next week too. We've still got lots to look forward to and can't wait to share what we get up in the next couple of weeks.
