A whopping 36 camps opened for summer on 25th July. Now, with the majority of our summer camps up and running, we’ve had an amazing amount of fun at Barracudas!
Here are our favourite moments of the week.
Kids have been enjoying some activities with our weekly theme twist! This week’s theme was Step Back in Time. Of course, we end the week with our Friday Theme Day, where kids and staff get to go wild and let their imaginations loose in fun costumes.
Here’s some great images to sum it all up;
Bishop's Stortford have had a very exciting first week at camp! Billy has been visiting us and he has been hiding around the camp and being very sneaky but our clever campers managed to find him!
Billy Barracuda got involved in a ‘guess the baby’ photo game. Kids loved this added element and parents also got the chance to get involved at collection.
There's a buzz a camp with the Best Base Room Competition. Staff and kids are taking lots of pride in their spaces and hoping to reach stop spot. They all look great to us!
They've been enjoying sessions with specialist instructors which have included splashing in the water park, using the quad bikes, learning to shoot bows, making lots of bubbles and even learning how to fence!
It’s all about what going on at camp. On Friday Hutton camp took over our stories on Instagram. We loved seeing what they were getting up to. From fun sports sessions to creative challenges. Our friendly camp team also invited you to ask them anything!
Don’t forget to look out for more camp takeovers this summer.
There’s been too many special moments at camp to capture them all at camp this week. Here are some other fun bits we’ve seen at our camps this week:
We love a bit of healthy competition at our camps. We like to recognise all the things each of our camps are doing to create an amazing experience for kids in the school holidays. Here's who reached top spot this week:
Oliver, Early Years Group Leader at Cobham camp, was the lucky winner of our coveted ‘staff member of the week’ competition.
Here’s what camp had to say about him:
“He has walked into the Early Years Group Leader role and excelled this week! He has been incredibly organised, his sessions run smoothly and his relationship that he has built with the children in a week is fantastic. He is really passionate about Early Years and has taken on board everything we have asked him to do in such a short space of time. He has been a spectacular addition to our camp.”
Well done, Oliver. We love to hear how our staff are making memories and ensuring kids are having an amazing experience at camp.
We’ve loved seeing photos from camp. Here are our top images so far:
Wednesday's winner was the Piranhas group at Bishop’s Stortford with their lovely sign. Thursday, the badminton session at Copthorne stole our hearts. We ended the week with our favourite picture of the day from an arts and crafts session at Woodford.
As well as our favourite images, we also like to see the sessions happening at our camps. With a wide range to choose from, we’ve loved seeing these moments captured.
Wednesday was a fun waterpark session at Hemel Hempstead. Thursday we loved the football session at Bedford and we picked the nature trail at Chigwell to end the week.
Keep a look out for our photo and session of the day on Facebook and Instagram!
We’re looking forward to even more fun this week, with all of our 46 summer camps up and running and everyone having a #SUMMEROFFUN!
