Where did the time go? It feels like it was Christmas 2 minutes ago and now the February half term is fast approaching.
Need something to entertain the kids during the break? Here we bring you some ideas to keep those little fish entertained:
Bake
Make a mess this half term and do some baking whilst teaching the kids valuable life skills. There are many things that you can bake and it doesn’t necessarily have to be unhealthy.
We’ve got plenty of recipes for you to follow depending on what takes your fancy. We have chocolate recipes, Easter recipes and bread recipes.
Geocaching
Get some fresh air and exercise by geocaching in your local area or you can travel and do some exploring in new areas. Not sure what it is? In the simplest terms, it is a worldwide treasure hunt which works by installing an app on your phone. For more information visit their website here.
Visit the library
Get ahead of World Book Day and take an afternoon out to the local library. There are thousands of books for you and your child to choose from. Not sure where your closest library is? You can find them here.
Become a Nature Detective
Teach your child the wonders of nature by signing up to the Woodland Trust Nature Detectives. For as little as £18 a year your child will not only be helping the wildlife but they’ll be learning and having fun to. Find out more information here.
Go to the cinema
We know how expensive the cinema can be for parents, but did you know during the school holidays and weekend mornings, most cinemas hold cheap viewing for as little as £2 per ticket! You can check your local cinemas website for more information.
If you live in the Huntingdon area, we’ll be running our half term camp at Hinchingbrooke school from the 18th to the 22nd February. From a single day to the full week you can book your place here now.
