Great ideas to keep kids busy this half term!
The Autumn half term is creeping up and the kids will soon be off school for a week and wanting to be entertained.
If your child isn’t joining us at our Huntingdon half term camp, we’ve got some great alternative ideas to keep the kids busy this October.
Something to suit every child with the National Trust
From crafts to outdoor adventures to spooky Halloween activities, there’s a huge range of things to do this October half term with The National Trust.
With over 500 properties in the UK, there’ll be a centre near you to keep them entertained and expand their worlds.
Family friendly museums to visit this October half term
The UK has probably the best museums in the world. This October there’s plenty going on to suit every interest. Here are our top suggestions:
The Museum of London is running a number of activities for kids including interactive storytelling, drop in art activities and beastly trails.
The V&A Museum of Childhood has plenty to keep them busy. As well as the numerous exhibitions and displays, they also have special October half term events running from 21st - 25th October.
Always a firm favourite, The Natural History Museum is full of fun for kids. There’s lots to do for free at this national institution and kids will have an amazing time whilst expanding their minds.

Outdoor activities they’ll love this October
There’s loads of local activities for kids to do during the October holidays. This is a great time to enjoy the big outdoors. Wrap up warm and go on an adventure!
Why not try pumpkin picking? Find your local PYO pumpkin event and get in the spirit of Halloween.
If they’re animal mad, why not get them out and about and have a day at the zoo? The UK has some of the best zoos in the world and October is a great time to visit them!
