We’ve had a great first week at our Easter camps that opened on Monday and we’re looking ahead to another week of fun with 19 more camps opening on 6th April!
Children have loved reconnecting and trying new activities. We’ve loved seeing them grow at camp.
Here are the highlights from last week's camps:
New activities
Kids and staff have all been enjoying our new activities launched at our Easter camps this year!
Children rebalanced themselves with our great new Feel Good Yoga session at Bedford camp on Tuesday. They took full advantage of the great weather and held these sessions outdoors, with the added bonus of the fresh air during the breathing exercises. Aaaand relax!
Camp highlights
Minnows had lots of fun at Huntingdon camp on Tuesday taking part in the Billy Hunt! They worked so well together trying to find out where naughty Billy Barracuda was hiding and even thought he might be in the loo. After lots of giggles they managed to find him safe and sound, having a nap in the base room. They really got a buzz from their sense of achievement. Well done, Minnows!
Watford camp’s answer to Joe Wicks got the Piranhas on their feet in an all fitness, all dancing aerobics session this week. Every child joined in and was loving the session. It was the talk of the lunch hall "Dean got us doing high knees, jumping jacks, even rope climbs, it was so fun".
They made the most of the weather on Tuesday and Wednesday at Hemel camp! All groups were outside getting fresh air, and having lots of fun doing a variety of activities. The Minnows absolutely loved the socially-distanced games (especially "Fruit Salad"), Mini Olympics has been a big hit with the Piranhas and Dolphins, and Basketball seems to be the favourite session for the Barracudas.
Customer feedback
We’re delighted to have had lots of great feedback so far this year with 6 5 star reviews on Trustpilot already! Our teams are also reporting some lovely comments coming from our parents at camp and the kids' smiles really says it all. Take a look at our independent customer reviews.
Contactless check in and new parent app
We’ve had a great start to our new registration procedures!
Our new COVID-19 Secure contactless check in has been a big hit. Parents are now signing kids in and out of camp with no need for passwords and security fobs, Instead it’s done by the touch of a button by scanning individual QR codes for each child.
We’ve had an excellent uptake of our new parent app too. Offering parents useful information such as booking details, directions to camp and pre camp checklists. It also provides access to the new QR codes, all in one place and accessible on smartphones on the go.
This now means we’re also going paperless, with everything now available digitally providing a greener and smoother process!
We’re looking forward to rolling out even more Easter camps next week.
