We’ve had an amazing first week at our 2024 Easter camps. With 40 camps open, we’ve had lots of fun across our sites. Of course, we can’t mention everything, but we’re pleased to share a snapshot of fantastic moments we’ve experienced and wonderful memories made.
Every week at camp has a different theme. This is a great way to make sure that there’s a special vibe at camp and children get to be a part of something unique.
The week’s theme was ‘Crazy Creatures’ and kids and staff enjoyed taking a walk on the wild side with us! We’ve loved adding a twist to our some of our favourite activities and had fun sessions for our special Friday Finale event to end the week with a roar!
We also introduced celebrating an Artist of the week that ties in with our theme. This week is Aboriginal Art to tie in with Crazy Creatures. Our Arts and Crafts instructors loved sharing this and children have enjoyed expanding their knowledge and expressing creativity.
See what's coming up for our 2024 Weekly Themes.
We know you love to see what we’re getting up to on camp and our staff love sharing their moments. We’ve enjoyed our Instagram takeovers from Salisbury, Ware and Norwich.
Just head over to our Instagram account for a sneak peak into this week's Easter camps.
Camps have loved getting creative and showing off on TikTok. We’ve been entertained by Billy Barracuda at Chigwell – and showing off our amazing new base room books as well as staff sharing the love. Girls at Cambridge showed us why Barracudas activities are the best, Farnham showed their spirit (we love a bit of healthy competition!). Woodford were shimmying their way into Dance and Drama and the Piranha’s showed us their funky moves.
Want to see the fun for yourself? Take a look at our TikTok account.
We know you like to see what’s going on at camp. Sharing is caring, so we pick our favourite photo for you each day. Our weekly winners were:
Children at Chigwell modelling our fantastic motor sports helmets, Bedford staff and children rocking hats, children enjoying the bouncy castle at Norwich Langley Prep and a fabulous group photo at Romford.
Keep a look out on Instagram for more standout pics this Easter!
Of course, Barracudas is top of the game when it comes to activities (did we mention we offer a choice for every session?!). Although all our sessions throughout our camps are first class, we pick our favourite session to highlight each day. Our weekly winners were:
Outside play in the sunshine at Farnham camp and Motor Sports fun at Romford camp. Children enjoying building a fort at Croydon camp and a fun swimming session at Upminster.
We offer a number of specialist courses at select locations at our Easter camps and summer camps. Children enjoyed our 3 day Lego Prime coding course at Watford and 4 day Roblox course at Streatham & Clapham.
They loved these immersive sessions, trying new things and developing skills.
Our exceptional staff are a big part of the camp experience. We know what an impact they have on the children at camp so we like to give a special shout out to our staff member of the week. Nathan at our Sevenoaks camp achieved top spot.
Congratulations to Nathan Haslam who has won our overall staff member of the week. Here’s a short poem on why Sevenoaks put him forward for the award:
“While leading amazing sessions, structured from start to end,
Outstanding communication with others, we've made a Sevenoaks friend.
You have been an outstanding addition to the team
And made the blue shirts job easier - we're living the dream!”
Well done, Nathan!
We’re proud of our 5 star Trustpilot rating and have already had some glowing reviews from our parents this Easter. Here are just a few of the comments we’ve received so far:
“Amazing staff at Watford! My daughter comes every year to both Easter and Summer camps at Watford. All staff are amazing and remember my daughter each time, which makes her feel very special! Great number of diverse activities, couldn’t recommend it enough for one day, one week or the whole time of each holiday!” Nicola
“Brilliant experience. Maria & her team (Barnet) went above and beyond to accommodate my daughter and her friendship group. The girls had the best day because of it. The activities are so varied.” Emma
“Bushey Barracudas. It was my daughter’s first time attending any kind of activity camp and I couldn’t recommend Barracudas at the Bushey site anymore! All of the staff are so friendly during drop off and collection and my daughter has come home so happy, she has begged me to book her in for more days! Thank you Barracudas!” Holly
“My 7 year old had most fun ever at Barracudas. Very well managed with great activities - really look forward to summer session.” BB
“My daughter went for the first time today and although she was incredibly nervous she went straight in and says she had an amazing time. She got to go swimming which she really hoped she would. She made new friends and enjoyed all the activities. At last we’ve found somewhere she’s looking forward to going to for the summer holidays. Thankyou to the Hinchingbrooke team, Nicky.” Nicky
What an amazing week we’ve had! We look forward to lots more fun at Easter camp and hope we see you there!
