Easter camp parent survey results

We had an amazing time at our Easter camps in 2022. We were pleased to see so many children join us for the school holidays.

We welcomed over 3,000 children per day with over 300 groups. Children were supported by over 1,000 seasonal staff and Barracudas camps delivered more than 3,500 individual sessions.

That's a lot of fun and memories made throughout the 3 weeks.

We genuinely care about your experience at Barracudas. We have high standards and we aim to exceed your expectations every season. This is why we send a survey out to our bookers after each camp ends, so we know that we're hitting the mark and are able to make any improvements as we continue to grow.

575 bookers completed our Easter camp survey. The results are now in and we're pleased to share these with you here.

First impressions of camp

The first impression of camp is really important both for children and their parents. As children attend camp on their own, it's vital that we can reflect the camp experience well for parents during drop off and collection. From our signage and fun and bright registration areas to the friendly and professional staff at camp, we're pleased that 99% of respondents said they had a positive first impression of Barracudas Activity Day Camps.

Range of activities at camp

Barracudas is proud to offer an unrivalled number of options and a choice for every session. Holiday clubs are all about new, fun and exciting activities. When kids are having fun and kept entertained, parents can have peace of mind and also avoid any dragging feet in the morning! Whatever your child is into, there'll always be something at camp to enjoy at Barracudas. Over 95% of parents thought the activities at Barracudas were excellent or good this Easter.

Barracudas camp staff

We have the highest standards for our seasonal staff. Each member has an enhanced DBS and full training for specialist sessions. It's not just their qualifications that count though. We know how important it is that children are inspired by enthusiastic, energetic and engaging leaders at camp. We're delighted that 94% of parents felt our staff really hit the mark this Easter.

Contactless registration and collection

Parents want drop off and pick up to be smooth and seamless every day at camp. We're pleased to be leading the way and investing in new systems so we can provide the best experience. 

In 2021 we introduced contactless registration and collection, mainly with a view to keep children, parents and staff safe during the pandemic. Our new QR code procedures are well received with almost 98% of parents confirming they were more than happy with their experience.

Barracudas parent app

As part of our ongoing commitment to innovation, we introduced a parent app in 2021. This offers parents access to their bookings, useful information and specific camp location details and instant access to the QR code at their fingertips. We continue to work on ways to improve your experience at Barracudas and this Easter we introduced our new daily timetable feature. It's great to know that parents find this really useful, with 70% having downloaded it for our last camps. Of those who downloaded it, 94% were pleased with how this worked. Of course, we'd want this to a full 100% and we're still working on future developments!

Recommendation

We know that a real measure of our success is how likely our bookers are to recommend us. This is confirmation that they've had the amazing experience they expect, would be keen to return and are also confident that their friends and family would be pleased with us too. We asked our parents how likely they would be to recommend us to a friend, on a scale of 1-10. We were thrilled that the average score was 8.6. This is reflected in how popular our Recommend a Friend scheme is!

We were delighted to also receive over 100 independent customer reviews on Trustpilot over Easter. Now with over 950 reviews and an Excellent rating, you can have peace of mind that your child is in safe hands at Barracudas!
