Ignite passions: Barracudas specialist courses unlock children's potential
Childhood is a time of exploration, growth, and discovering new passions. At Barracudas, we believe in nurturing children's interests and providing them with exciting opportunities to develop new skills.
Our specialist courses and camps are designed to spark their imagination, encourage learning, and foster a love for various activities.
Barracudas offers a whole host of options which will ignite passions; from Skills Builder courses like Dance Fusion and Motor Mania, to specialist courses such as Coding and Baking, as well as specialist Football camps.
On top of all of this, there are unique experiences awaiting children at our residential camps.
Skills Builder Courses
Our great range of Skills Builders can be added to full week bookings. They get the chance to take part in all our fun range of activities, with 1 session each day replaced with their chosen specialist course!
Dance Fusion
This is an electrifying experience for children eager to express themselves through movement and music.
Led by seasoned dance instructors, this course explores various dance styles, from hip-hop, contemporary, to jazz. Children not only learn fundamental dance techniques but also develop their creativity, coordination, and confidence.
Through engaging choreography and fun routines, Dance Fusion allows participants to showcase their talents in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
Discovery Squad
For young explorers and aspiring scientists, the Discovery Squad course offers an immersive learning experience that sparks curiosity and nurtures a passion for the natural world.
Guided by our supportive staff, children will take part in a number of exciting experiments that will get them thinking about science and the world around them.
The Discovery Squad course encourages children to embrace their inner scientist and make fascinating discoveries.
Motor Mania
Motor Mania is where it’s at for motor heads at our school holiday camps.
They’ll get to hone their driving skills on tarmac and grass using our selection of electric go-karts and quad bikes.
But it’s not just about racing – we’ll get them up to speed on road safety, signals and basic mechanics. Remember, we’re all about minds, as well as bodies.
Kids will love this action-packed course led by experienced instructors, and will leave will essential life skills.
Rocketeers
We launched our rocket Skills Builder course in 2023! Children will learn about the same principles that NASA and Space X use when they launch their space rockets.
Rocketeers inspires children to reach for the stars and develop a passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Supported by Barracudas staff, kids will love developing their knowledge and have fun launching their own Water Rokits.
This course will stretch their curiosity about space and expand their knowledge.
They'll be a qualified Rocketeer at the end of the week. Not only that, but they'll also get to take a Water Rokit kit home at the end!

Swim school
Swimming is an essential life skill that not only provides enjoyment but also promotes physical fitness and safety in the water.
Barracudas Swim School builds water confidence for beginners, setting children on the path for a lifetime of enjoyment and skill development in the water.
By gradually introducing them to the water, engaging them in fun activities, and teaching essential safety skills, we can help them build a solid foundation of water confidence that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Specialist Courses
Coding
In today's digital age, coding skills have become increasingly valuable. Barracudas offers 5 coding courses which will equip children with the tools they need to become proficient in this essential language of the future.
Kids will love expanding their technical skills and digital knowledge, with AI & Machine Learning, Minecraft, MakeCode, Micro:Bit Coding and Roblox available this summer.
All courses are delivered by the experts at Blue Shift coding, so they’ll be supported by industry leaders, providing the latest technologies and teaching practices.
Barracudas Coding courses empower children to become creators and innovators in the ever-evolving world of technology.

Baking
For young culinary enthusiasts, Barracudas Baking course provides an immersive and delectable experience.
Combining creativity and science, Barracudas' Baking course introduces children to the joys of creating delicious treats. From measuring ingredients and following recipes to experimenting with flavours and decorating masterpieces, participants discover the magic of the kitchen. Baking cultivates patience, attention to detail, and teamwork while nurturing a love for culinary arts.

Specialist Football Camps
Barracudas' Football camps provide a fantastic opportunity for young football enthusiasts to refine their skills, learn new techniques, and experience the thrill of the game.
Partnering with Norwich City CSF, Palace for Life Foundation and West Ham United Foundation, kids will get the chance to learn from the professionals in these week long camps.
Led by experienced coaches, participants engage in drills, friendly matches, and tactical sessions to improve their teamwork, agility, and sportsmanship.
This is a great opportunity for girls and boys to maximise their individual and team skills. They’ll have a great time whilst they develop their football technique and meet new friends all in the Barracudas environment.

Residential camps
On top off all this, we’re super excited to be able to offer away from home experiences for kids again this summer.
Partnering with residential camp experts, PGL, Barracudas is pleased to be able to provide children with the opportunity to develop independence and self reliance on our 4 night and 7 night camps.
They offer a break from daily routines, create lasting friendships, and equip individuals with essential life skills that extend far beyond their camp experience. Kids will take part in activities they won’t usually get the chance to do such as kayaking, abseiling and raft building.
Kids will improve their physical fitness but also boost mental well-being, spending time outdoors and being active. They’ll grow in independence and confidence in a safe and secure environment, supported by friendly professional staff.
