Summer camp 2023 parent survey results are in!

Another summer has flashed past! It might have flown by, but lots has gone on at our summer camps this year.

With our 32nd summer now done, we're taking some time to review our performance.

We work tirelessly throughout the year to make sure we're delivering on our promise to 'give every child such an amazing experience they can't wait to come back!'. To make sure we're hitting the mark, we ask our bookers to complete a short parent survey after each season. This means we can continue to develop on the things we're doing well and work on any areas which might need improving. 

With over 1,400 submissions, we're grateful for all the parents who took a few minutes out of their day to complete our survey to help us understand your experience at Barracudas.

Reasons for booking Barracudas 

There are so many reasons to book summer holiday activities at Barracudas. It’s our mission to give every child an amazing time in the school holidays, but we’re also here to help parents find childcare solutions in the long summer holidays. Here’s parent’s main reasons for booking with us this summer: 

First impressions 

First impressions count. It sets the scene for what you can expect at camp. As our camps are only for children, our welcoming, professional and vibrant registration helps parents to gain an insight into the great environment their children will be enjoying when they’re with us. 97% of our survey respondents had a great first impression of Barracudas this summer 

Activities rating

Barracudas offers an unrivalled number of activities to suit every interest. With a choice for every session, children also get to be master of their own day! Based on our ACTIVE motto, we offer a varied and balanced timetable. So, whether they’re a creative spirit, sports lover or social butterfly, there’ll always be something they’ll love to do at camp. 96% of parents thought our activities were top notch this summer. 

Facilities rating

We select each of our venues carefully. We only consider the best sites with high quality facilities so we can offer the widest range of activities in the best environments. Not only that, but we also ensure we have access to the full school site. This year 96% of our bookers were really impressed with the facilities at camp. 

Convenience 

As well as choosing schools with the best facilities, we know it’s really important that our sites are easily accessible to busy parents. 99% of our summer bookers found their local camp to be a convenient location for them.  

Staff 

Social interaction is a significant part of the camp experience. Interaction with our camp staff has a big impact on children’s enjoyment at Barracudas. We have robust hiring and training processes in place to make sure we have the most qualified and enthusiastic leaders looking after children at camp. 95% of parents were impressed with our staff this summer. 

Contactless registration 

We’re a market leading activity camp provider and are always looking at ways to improve our customer experience. As a response to the pandemic we introduced contactless registration back in 2021 with our QR codes. This was an added layer of safety then and continues to provide a smoother experience for busy parents. 95% of bookers rated our registration and collection procedure highly. 

Parent app 

Another industry first was our parent app which we introduced back in 2021. Since then we’ve continued to develop and improve this to offer even more features for parents at their fingertips. 95% of parent who downloaded our app were impressed with this. We’ll continue to look at ways we can develop this to provide the best parent experience. 

Likely to book again 

We value customer loyalty. It’s important to us that our bookers have a great experience. This is affirmation that we’re delivering amazing experiences and meeting expectations. We couldn’t be happier that 96% of our summer bookers are likely to book with us again.
