Whether you’ve used us for years, or you’re just getting to know us, here are 10 things you might not know about Barracudas kids clubs:
The first Barracudas camps opened over 26 years ago!
Barracudas introduced our camps back in 1992 with one summer camp in London and one in Surrey. Our company founder, Neil Greatorex had worked in the industry for several years both in the UK and rolling holiday camps out in Australia. Neil’s vision was to offer something an amazing experience for kids in the UK summer holidays.
Barracudas has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted more than any comparable provider
Barracudas camps are registered with Ofsted. Our camps are regularly visited by the officials from Ofsted and we’ve got a great track record! Barracudas has been rated Outstanding more times than any of our competitors. That’s peace of mind for you!
Barracudas has unrivalled activities
Barracudas has over 80 activities for children. These are carefully selected to suit the different interests of the children who come to our camps. From specialist activities such as fencing and Motorsports (age-appropriate options for 4 ½ - 6 year olds) through to team sports, drama and arts & crafts, there’s something for everyone. There are 6 sessions each day and kids get a choice of activity for each one. We review our activities and will be revealing new additions for 2020 soon!

Barracudas accept Childcare Vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare payments
You can use Childcare Vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare as full or part payment for your child’s Barracudas booking. We’re set up with all the main Childcare Voucher providers and will happily look into setting up any that aren't already on our list. Find out more.
Barracudas offers interest-free payments
You can secure your Barracudas booking with a deposit and select to pay with interest-free monthly instalments up to the balance due date! You can even use Childcare Vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare to make these payments. Find out more.
Barracudas offers flexible dates
It makes sense to get in early at Barracudas. Not only can you get a bargain with our early booking offers, but you can also spread the cost of your booking. We know that things can change with children so we'll happily change your dates up to 10 days before they start camp (subject to availability). .
Barracudas rewards recommendations
The best advertising is word of mouth and we love it when someone books with us based on hearing about other people’s experience. To thank our loyal bookers for giving us a shout out, we have a Recommend a Friend scheme. If someone books with us for the first time based on your recommendation, you can both benefit!
Barracudas partners with a chosen charity
Each year we select a charity to make a difference for a good cause. We’ve worked with a number of amazing organisations over the years and are proud to be able to give something back. In 2019 we raised over £2,300.00 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity with our weekly ‘What’s in Welly?’ camp fundraiser. We’re looking forward to having fun raising money for this great cause again this year.
Barracudas inspires love!
We’re pleased as punch to have had our first Barracudas wedding this year! Not only do our staff love working here (we’ve got a number of staff already passed the 20 year mark), but they can also find love working at Barracudas! Sarah and Nat met as camp staff at Barracudas Wokingham camp. Love blossomed and this year they tied the knot. The tables at the wedding breakfast were named after Barracudas groups!
