Kids to try trampolining?
Published on 18-05-2010
Summary: Children can improve their balance skills by bouncing up and down on a trampoline, according to a writer.

Children who are looking for activities to keep them occupied over the summer holidays may like to try trampolining, one journalist has suggested.
Writing for the London Evening Standard, Liz Hoggard said the exercise is an aerobic and cardiovascular workout, which is two-thirds more beneficial than jogging.
Ms Hoggard noted it is a good way to develop motor skill and coordination and suggested it may help youngsters improve their balance.
The sport, which is similar to jumping on a bouncy castle, could also help to build strong bones while slashing the risk of stress injuries.
She remarked that according to NASA, a ten-minute session has the same advantages of going for a 30-minute run.
The British Heart Foundation recently launched a campaign to encourage kids to bounce in a bid to crack down on childhood obesity.
Last week, Eleanor Updale claimed teachers should not give pupils homework during school holidays as it may stop them from participating in outdoor activities.
She explained that it means kids will then be sitting indoors which will lead to a sedentary lifestyle.
