Summary: Activities provided to encourage parents and children in Scottish village to bond.

Families and children were encouraged to try new activities at a fun day in Scotland.
More than 500 people were at the occasion, which was organised by Liz Rowe - a Musical Minis Ayrshire franchisee - to celebrate the fact she had been in the business for five years while raising cash for charity CLIC Sargent, the Cumnock Chronicle reports.
According to the news provider, plenty of entertainment was laid on for the kids including face painting, dancing and a show from Scotty the Magician.
The amount of money raised has now been collected and it came to £1,514 and Ms Rowe said: "I feel it's important to give something back and hosting the event meant I could give the children in Ayrshire a fun day whilst also raising money for a great charity."
Meanwhile, families are being told to make sure they spend "quality time" together after a survey revealed that 46 per cent of mums and dads do not put their kids first.
Alison Morris, a savings expert with Scottish Widows who carried out the research, stated parents could be "missing out" on their offspring's childhood.
